Absolutely! Choosing the right therapist is crucial for your mental health journey. Here are some steps to help you find the perfect fit:

Identify your needs: Determine the specific issues you want to address, such as anxiety, depression, or relationship problems. This will help you find a therapist who specializes in those areas.

Research different therapy approaches: During your complimentary consultation or initial appointment, inquire about the therapist’s preferred approaches to therapy and how those approaches are used to help you achieve your treatment goals. To learn more about our therapists, please visit the Meet the Team page and read the therapist bios.

Consider location and availability: Our therapists offer virtual telehealth appointments and offer flexible hours to fit your schedule.

Schedule a consultation: We offer a free initial 15-min video consultation. Use this opportunity to ask questions and get a feel for their personality and approach.

Under certain circumstances, insurance may cover couples therapy if the policyholder has been diagnosed with a particular disorder and the therapy sessions revolve around the effects of that condition on the relationship. Unfortunately, we are not able to bill insurance for pre-marital counseling or marital enrichment sessions.

No. Our practitioners hold licenses for delivering psychotherapy, but we are not authorized to prescribe medication. Our primary goal is to provide information and assistance. Should you require an assessment for psychiatric medication, we can direct you to a qualified psychiatrist.

Our therapists possess expertise in diverse methodologies, and their bio on this page can provide further insight. We collectively draw from a wide range of theories and strategies to address diverse client needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), System Counseling, Cognitive Restructuring approaches, Motivational Interviewing techniques, Gestalt therapy, Autogenic Training, Existential Therapy, and Grief Counseling.

In order to maximize the benefits of therapy, it is suggested that clients attend weekly meetings for the initial four sessions. This enables the therapist to become acquainted with you and promptly initiate the treatment process. If you’re unable to commit to weekly sessions, aim to create space in your calendar for appointments every 10-14 days at most before scheduling your first session.
Yes. We refrain from working with clients who require immediate appointments due to an urgent crisis related to risk of harm to self or others. If you are experiencing a crisis, we recommend calling 911 or visiting your nearest emergency room. Once your crisis is stabilized, we are here to help. Currently, we do not provide treatment for children under 13 years old and do not perform evaluations or offer recommendations for child custody. Additionally, we do not offer therapy for individuals with personality disorders, psychotic disorders, or eating disorders.
